Fun Is Knowledge Too.

“Play is the highest form of research.” ~ Albert Einstein

“Play is not a break from learning. It is endless, delightful, deep, engaging, practical learning. It’s the doorway into the child’s heart!” ~ Vince Gowmon

“Children cannot bounce off the walls if we take away the walls.” Erin Kenny

They will learn fundamental skills needed in art expression like cutting, gluing, drawing shapes, mixing colors, painting, and sculpting. We like to encourage them to explore with different possibilities and learn to let go and appreciate their art.
Kids will be encourage to sing, drum, follow beats, make musical noises and compose their own songs throughout the day. Whether they are singing about an activity they are doing or about something they did, saw or like, music will be like another automatic skill, just like breathing. Music games (indoors and outdoors) as well as during our circle time.
COMPASSIONATE COMMUNICATION Throughout the day, we will help kids articulate requests in a compassionate way, reinforce their skills and teach them the importance of a well articulated sentence for their relationships. Non-violent communication will be the base of their talking skills.
We cultivate foundational attitudes (curiosity, kindness, compassion, generosity, gratitude, non-judging, patience, beginner’s mind, trust, non-striving, acceptance, letting be) that support flexibility and exploration of what is present in each moment. Understanding the importance of investing in our children’s emotional well-being is essential in our daily experiences.
